Program Overview
The APTI Organizational Leadership Program is a four-month program for current leaders with handful management and leadership experiences. With a balance of theoretic framework and practical applications, the program trains and prepares leaders for changing and challenging markets and organizations. Apart from in-class training, participants are required to attend tutorials, complete individual and group projects, and do reflections on specific modules.
Leaders from business sectors, educational systems, social enterprises, international NGOs, social service agencies, art and cultural institutions, foundations, advocacy and volunteer organizations are all welcomed.
The Organizational Leadership Program has the following features:
- This program is part-time basis.
- It is a 4-month duration program
- It is a flexible program to meet with individual study needs and schedule.
- Module 4 is a comprehensive program. Participants can get a certificate “Organizational Leadership” issued by Asia Professional Training Institute

Please notice that participation in Module 4 needs selection of at least two sub-modules in each module .
Introduction to the New Human Potential Move and the core values of Self-Actualization Psychology. Theories and models will be explained in the course and participants are expected to develop a Theory Y prospect.
Objectives:
- Understand human needs from a humanistic perspective;
- Explore the core values and beliefs in Self-Actualization Psychology.
1b: HUMAN SYSTEMIC THINKING AND PERFORMANCE (8 Hours)
Introduction to the human functioning in meta-level and guide the participants into people’s complex and layer-upon-layer operation process. After this course, participants are expected to have better self-awareness and self-reflection abilities.
Objectives:
- Understand meta-states and their profound influence on human behavior;

1c: GETTING UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN BEING (8 Hours)
This course provides both introduction to how human functioning in a common way and how people may differ according to their personalities. Participants are required to know how to interact with different people with the most efficient way and get the most desired results at the end of the course.
Objectives:
- Understand human operational process and their perceptive filters;
- Master basic communication skills toward different people.
2a: LEADING BY COACHING COMMUNICATION (8 Hours)
An fundamental coaching course introduces the theories, ideologies, skills and techniques of coaching. Through practice and exercises, participants shall be able to use basic coaching skills in conversation and facilitate effective communication.
Objectives:
- Understand the coaching mindset;
- Master core and advanced coaching and communication skills.
2b: GOAL SETTING AND ACHIEVING (8 Hours)
The road to achieve organization goals or Key Performance Indicators (KPI) with the foundation of the 3 Pillars of Progress. Getting focused, clear goal, find the tools for results and get integrated and aligned. Participants shall be able to achieve outcome through an evaluating and checking process.
Objectives:
- Get t personal and organizational KPI through asking specific questions;

2c: GROUP AND TEAM COACHING (8 Hours)
This course provides advance coaching skills and techniques in group and team coaching. Theories and concepts in group dynamic will be covered. And participants are expected to know how to facilitate people in groups and teams in all phases to achieve peak performances.

3a: ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE (8 Hours)
This course focus on the culture formation and culture reconstruction. Types of organizational culture will be examined and methods in cultivate positive organizational culture will be introduced.
Objectives:
- Explore organizational culture types and the factors and elements contribute to it;
- Learn to change, innovate and maintain organizational culture .[/toggle_item]
3b: BENCHMARK AND SYSTEM (8 Hours)
System is essential for an organization to operate stably and sustainably. However, how do you measure and standardized intangible performance in terms of systems? With a tool of benchmarking, this course guides you to establish replicable and sustainable organizational systems.

3c: LEADING THROUGH CHANGE (8 Hours)
Change is inevitable in markets as well as in organizations. However, whether opportunities or disasters changes brings up depends on how people, especially how the leader leads people, to handle it. In this course, models and mechanisms of change will be introduced, and participants are expected to know how to lead the change dance at the end of the course.
Objectives:
- Explore change factors and change approaches;
- Learn change mechanisms and different leadership roles in change.
4: INTEGRATED MODULE (8 Hours)
This module is for participants who choose at least two sub-modules in each modules (i.e. total at least 6 sub-modules in module 1 to 3). This module aims to enable participants to integrate values, knowledge, and skills learned for independent and competent working context application. Participants will report their progress and results during the course and get feedback from peers.
Objectives:
- Apply theories and skills learned into practice;
- Gain first hand experiences and deeper understanding through self-reflection and peer discussion.
- Facilitate learning and internalization through guided coaching sessions;
- Explore and aware blind spots through feedback and feed-forward loops.[/toggle_item]
- Each sub-module is charged HK$4,000 per person with 8 hours or one day basis. (note: The fee includes notes and course materials)
- The Integrated and Action Learning Module is charged HK$20,000 for any 6 sub-modules (Participants must choose at least two sub-modules from Module 1 to 3). Each extra sub-module is charged extra HK$3,000.
- For the participants who choose all the courses, Module 1a to 1c, 2a to 2c and 3a to 3c, they are automatically join the Full Integrated and Action Learning Module. The Fee is HK$27,000 for Module 1 to 3, total 9 sub-modules.
